What is the Georgia Tech Stamps President’s Scholarship?
The Stamps President’s Scholars Program is Georgia Tech’s flagship merit-scholarship and leadership-development programme. Georgia Tech says it seeks students with exceptional academic promise, leadership, service and the potential to create a meaningful impact in technology and society.
The programme combines scholarship support with mentoring, retreats, leadership programming, travel for research and professional development, and access to the wider Stamps Scholars network. The official programme page does not publish a single fixed cash value for the 2027 cohort, so applicants should not rely on unofficial dollar estimates.
Who can apply?
You may be considered if you:
- are applying as a first-year student to begin at Georgia Tech in fall 2027;
- submit the admission application by the relevant Early Action deadline;
- are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or U.K. citizen; and
- present a strong record of scholarship, leadership, progress and service.
Transfer applicants are not eligible. Georgia Tech also states that scholarship candidates compete under the primary major listed on the admission application. A recipient who confirms a different major before the end of the first year may lose the scholarship offer or award.
Funding and programme benefits
The official 2027 pages describe Stamps as a merit-based scholarship with substantial educational and leadership benefits. These include purposeful programming, mentoring, retreats, research and professional-development travel, and participation in the national Stamps Scholars community.
Because the current public programme pages do not state a precise 2027 award amount or itemised cost coverage, this guide does not invent a monetary value. Final award terms should be checked in the recipient’s official offer.
Application deadlines for fall 2027
- October 15, 2026: Georgia residents applying through Early Action 1.
- November 2, 2026: Non-Georgia residents applying through Early Action 2.
The scholarship calendar does not state a cutoff time or time zone. Submit well before the date and follow any time shown inside the Georgia Tech admission portal.
Documents and application requirements
There is no separate Stamps scholarship application. Applicants are evaluated from the Georgia Tech first-year admission file. Prepare the materials required by Georgia Tech for your applicant type, which may include:
- the completed first-year admission application;
- academic record and required school information;
- application essays and activity details;
- application fee or an approved fee waiver; and
- any other material requested in the admission portal.
The Stamps programme says it does not accept extra scholarship materials. Applicants should therefore use the admission essays and activities section carefully to show academic strength, contribution to community, leadership and character.

Semifinalists complete a virtual asynchronous interview, and about 150 finalists are expected to be named. For the 2027 cycle, Georgia Tech anticipates offering Stamps President’s Scholarships to 50 finalists and Gold Scholarships to at least 20 finalists.
