How to evaluate a funded conference

A funded-event label is useful only when the support is specific. Before applying, compare the event against the official organizer page and check whether funding covers the participation fee, accommodation, local transport, visa costs and international travel. Some programs reimburse expenses after attendance instead of paying them in advance, so applicants should also check the payment timing.
