What does the Belk Scholarship cover?
The award covers Davidson’s comprehensive billed costs: tuition, required fees, housing and food. Davidson says the scholarship is renewable for the remaining three years when recipients meet the required academic-progress standards and participate fully in college life.
The current official nomination-scholarship page lists US$10,000 in special-opportunity stipends. A separate general scholarship overview still displays US$6,000, so applicants should confirm the current stipend amount directly with Davidson; this guide does not treat the stipend figure as part of the guaranteed billed-cost coverage.
Who is eligible?
You should be an incoming first-year applicant who demonstrates exceptional achievement and promise in academics, character, leadership and service. International applicants are eligible for Davidson’s scholarships, except international transfer applicants.
A school head, high-school counselor or eligible community-based organization may nominate candidates. Davidson’s admission and financial-aid staff may also nominate a strong applicant internally. A nomination is required for scholarship consideration.

English language requirements
International applicants whose first language is not English must normally demonstrate proficiency through TOEFL, IELTS or the Duolingo English Test. Davidson says students at or above these ranges are generally best prepared:

The requirement may be waived for applicants from a country where English is an official language, IB Diploma students taking English A, or students who completed four years of high school in the United States. Davidson explains how to request a waiver after applying.
How to apply
