What the scholarship covers
The award covers the full Oxford MBA course fee and provides a living-cost grant of at least £21,805. Applicants should still budget for any personal expenses that exceed the grant or are not expressly included.
Eligibility
The scholarship is for applicants who have already committed substantial time to social entrepreneurship. Oxford and the Skoll Centre require:
- At least three years building and leading a social venture.
- Evidence of significant social or environmental impact.
- A systems approach to a deep-rooted problem, supported by curiosity, persistence, humility and collaboration.
- Lived experience of, or meaningful long-term engagement with, the problem being addressed.
- A clear intention to continue creating positive systemic impact.
- A convincing explanation of how the Oxford MBA and Skoll community will help.
- Demonstrated financial need.
- Admission to the full-time Oxford MBA.

Documents and tests
Applicants need the Oxford MBA materials plus the Skoll essays. Current MBA guidance lists academic transcripts, a one-page CV, GMAT or GRE results, English-language evidence when required, two references, written application responses and an online assessment. Upload the completed Skoll essay document in the funding section. English-test exemptions depend on Oxford’s official rules; do not assume an exemption.

Important admission condition
Only candidates accepted to the Oxford MBA who submit the essays by the deadline can be considered. The Skoll Centre says candidates with a conditional offer cannot proceed to the final Logistics and Reference Form; an unconditional MBA offer is required at that stage.
