Overview

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is a national merit-based graduate fellowship for immigrants and children of immigrants in the United States. Fellows may pursue many types of full-time graduate and professional degrees at accredited U.S. institutions.

The 2027 application is open. The program expects to name 77 finalists for virtual interviews and select 30 Fellows.

Eligibility

• Be 30 years old or younger as of the October 29, 2026 deadline.
• Qualify as a New American: an immigrant or the child of immigrants, under the program's official definitions.

Funding & Benefits

• Up to $25,000 per year in stipend support for up to two years, paid directly to the Fellow.
