Denison University Scholarships 2027 | Up to Full Tuition

Denison University Scholarships 2027 give international first-year applicants automatic consideration for renewable merit awards ranging from US$5,000 per year to full tuition. International applicants may also request institutional need-based aid, and Denison states that it meets 100% of demonstrated financial need for admitted students. Merit consideration is automatic with a complete admission application; need-based aid requires the free Denison Certification of Finances.

What funding is available?

Denison automatically considers every complete admission applicant for merit scholarships. The university states that awards range from US$5,000 per year to full tuition, are normally provided for four years (eight semesters), and generally require recipients to maintain at least a 2.0 GPA unless a donor agreement states otherwise.

International students can also request institutional need-based financial aid. Denison says it meets 100% of demonstrated financial need for every admitted student, but admission is need-aware for international applicants. An aid package may include grants and on-campus work. “Full demonstrated need” is calculated by Denison and should not be confused with a guaranteed full-cost scholarship for every applicant. Books, travel, health insurance and personal expenses may remain outside the calculated package.

Who can apply?

  • International students applying for first-year undergraduate admission.
  • Applicants submitting the Common Application or Coalition Application.
  • Students with strong academic records and meaningful personal or extracurricular achievements.
  • Applicants who complete all admission requirements by their chosen admission-round deadline.

There is no separate general merit-scholarship application. International applicants who want need-based aid must request it during the admission process; Denison says students who enroll without need-based aid cannot apply for it later.

Deadlines for 2027 entry

  • Early Decision I: 15 November 2026
  • Early Decision II: 15 January 2027
  • Regular Decision: 15 January 2027

The official Denison pages do not state a submission cutoff time or time zone. Submit early. Early Decision is binding, while Regular Decision is non-binding. Financial-aid materials follow the same deadlines as the admission application.
