Africa CDC is accepting applications for the fully sponsored Youth Pre-Conference 2026. Selected young Africans will receive sponsorship covering flight tickets, accommodation, meals and the CPHIA 2026 registration fee. The Youth Pre-Conference takes place on 21–22 November 2026, followed by the International Conference on Public Health in Africa from 23–27 November 2026.
About the Africa CDC Youth Pre-Conference 2026
YPC 2026 is the official youth platform linked to the 5th International Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA 2026). It brings together young African health professionals, students, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, advocates, communicators and community leaders to shape youth priorities for Africa’s public-health agenda.
The 2026 edition focuses on Africa CDC’s Health Security and Sovereignty agenda and creates opportunities for young delegates to contribute ideas, showcase solutions, build networks and engage directly with public-health leaders and institutions.
What Does the Full Sponsorship Cover?
- Flight tickets for selected delegates.
- Accommodation during the sponsored participation period.

- CPHIA 2026 registration fee.
- Participation in YPC 2026 and continued participation in CPHIA 2026.
Who Can Apply?
- Be 18–35 years old at the time of application.
- Be a citizen of an African Union Member State.
- Be enrolled in at least an undergraduate programme, or have relevant educational, professional or community experience in public health or a related field.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to improving health through research, advocacy, innovation, community engagement, professional practice or related work.
- Be available to participate fully in both YPC 2026 and CPHIA 2026.
- Be willing to contribute to peer exchange and the cultural life of the Youth Pre-Conference.

Relevant backgrounds may include medicine, nursing, community or environmental health, digital health, technology, policy, public service, development, communications, journalism, entrepreneurship, manufacturing, social sciences and other fields contributing to Africa’s health security.
