ERA:AI Winter Fellowship 2027 in Cambridge

Overview

ERA describes the programme as a talent-first fellowship for people who want to work on high-impact questions around advanced AI systems. For Winter 2027, ERA expects roughly 30–35 fellows across three streams. There is no formal degree requirement and prior research experience is not mandatory.

Eligibility

• Open to applicants from any country.
• You must be at least 18 years old by the start of the fellowship.
• Students, researchers, engineers, policy professionals, economists, lawyers, scientists, and other domain experts may apply.
• Prior AI-safety or governance experience is not required.
• In-person participation in Cambridge is the default; limited remote exceptions may be considered in special cases.
